These worksheets help children to learn to identify verbs. A child who attempts all these exercises would acquire a fairly good idea of what a verb is.

Most of the verbs are regular. The past tense and the past participle are formed by adding ‘ed’ to the verb. Example: 1. talk-talked-talked. 2. play-played - played.

Irregular verbs don’t follow this pattern. Example: take-took-taken, go-went –gone.

Children often make mistakes in using irregular verbs.

Download from the internet, a list of irregular verbs. Make your child familiar with the usage of these verbs. Spend 5-10 minutes with your child daily to go through the list of irregular verbs.
